About Dr. Emoto

Dr_Masaru_EmotoMasaru Emoto 1943-2014 – Dr. Emoto was born in Yokohama in July 1943. He is a graduate of the Yokohama Municipal University´s department of humanities and sciences with a focus on International Relations.

In 1986 he established the IHM Corporation in Tokyo. He received certification from the Open International University, Sri Lanka, as a Doctor of Alternative Medicine in October of 1992. He is currently the head of I.H.M. General Research Institute and President Emeritus of the International Water for Life Foundation, a Non-profit Organization.

He undertook extensive research of water around the planet not so much as a scientific researcher but more from the perspective of an original thinker and now is one of the most famous water specialists in the world.

As a therapist he used micro cluster water and MRA (Magnetic Resonance Analyzer) in his sessions. MRA puts certain information into the water in form of HADO (which means “vibration” in English). The successful results of his therapy convinced him that water can hold and carry information. Already for long time this hypothesis has been believed by certain people such as homoeopaths or those who are religious, although it is not yet scientifically proved and even has been ignored or laughed at by most of the scientists.

Inspired from a snow crystal, he realized that it was in the frozen crystal form that water showed us its true nature through. In 1994, after many trials and errors, his laboratory in Tokyo succeeded in taking the first water crystal photograph. Since then a couple of ten-thousand crystal pictures have been taken. Many examinations and experiments have been done with different themes such as “water quality“, “the effect of negative and positive words on water“, “ influence of music, pictures, letters, or texts”, and “ power of prayer in different forms”. The results show that music, words, thoughts, and prayer influence on the structure of the water crystals; this indicates that they actually affect our physical reality. Crystal photography succeeded to make the hypothesis, that water can hold and carry information, visible for every one. Moreover the beauty of water crystals in stable and harmonious form is like a great artwork which touches many peoples heart.

With the support of his wife, Kazuko he published in 1999 at their own expense, “Messages from water”, which is a collection of the water crystal pictures and results of the water crystal investigations. “Messages from water” got to be an international million-seller and has been translated into more than twenty languages in short time.

Since then he travels with his wife all around the world to give seminars and speeches about water and HADO (Hado= vibration). Some of the highlights ware speeches at “The 3rd and the 4th International Water Forum” in Kyoto (2003) and in Mexico City (2006), at the United Nations in New York (2005), an interview with Princess Irene of the Netherlands, the 1st International Spiritual Festival in Mexico City (2008), and at the International Expo Zaragoza in Spain (2008).

He has also written “The Hidden Messages in Water”, “The True Power of Water”, “Love Thyself”, and “The Shape of Love” and is now an international bestseller author, whose name also appeared in the best-seller list of New York Times.

Water crystals are also seen in the film “What the Bleep Do We Know?” which has received much attention of many audiences and film prizes around the world, and whose heroin is a recipient of the Best Actress Oscar, Marine Matlin.

In February 2008, a documentary film “Water” was released, and he and his study are presented along with other well received world water researchers in the film.

Now water crystal photography is loved by all kinds of people, from children to the old, independent of their races, nationalities, religions, and social situations, and more and more people get fascinated with the messages from water crystals. In 2004 he established another laboratory in Liechtenstein, Europe.  In 2007 Ecological River Environment Technology Institute at Kyungdong University in Korea established water crystal laboratory.

Last years he also got to encounter with world leaders and the wise like His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Michail Gorbatschow, Dr. Ervin Raszlo, Ms. Louise Hay, and Rupert Sheldrake, who also approved of his water crystal photograph.

At the same time he is a long-time advocate for peace in relation to water.

In July, 2003 he appealed and led “love and gratitude to water ceremony” by sea of Galilee in Israel. Since then this water ceremony is organized every year in different places in the world.  One of them was held at the Lake Baikal in Siberia, Russia in August, 2008. In 2011, he conducted it in Fukushima, Japan, and from there he sent “Love and Gratitude along with apologies” to water of all around the world.

In May 2005, he announced the EMOTO PEACE PROJECT at the conference called “The Spiritual Dimensions of Science and Consciousness Subcommittee on Spirituality” held at United Nations Headquarters in New York City. The PEACE PROJECT is the project, as part of United Nation’s International Decade for Action; Water for Life, to provide “The Message of Water” children’s book to all the children in the world at no cost within a decade.  “The Message from Water” children’s book was published in the beginning of 2006 and in next ten years 650 million copies should be donated to children all over the world.  Now it has been translated into almost 25 languages and distributed in those countries.  The Water Peace Project is now an NPO (non-profit organization) not only to distribute children’s books, but also to help people inspire and educated people about the importance of water for peace.  Dr. Emoto & the Water Peace Project have been distributing the book to children for free around the world, and will keep doing it for many years to come.

On October 17, 2014 Our beloved father, friend, teacher and emissary for water and peace, Dr. Masaru Emoto, passed peacefully at 12:50 am His last words were “Arigatou”. (“Thank you” in Japanese). Which in Japanese means to be grateful for our own existence. His family believes he was giving his thanks to all of the people who shared his vision for peace, the people he met along his journey, and everyone who came into contact with his life’s  work.

He was sincerely grateful for his family and every friend he had made throughout his life. He loved and thanked you all so very much. In his last book, ‘Hidden Messages From Water and The Universe’, he wrote, “Life is love, a gift from God and parent, and death is gratitude for a new dimension”.  So now he is in another dimension, looking over us warmly with love and gratitude.

Dr. Emoto’s passion was teaching his “Messages in Water” and sharing this information with children. He trained over 350 International HADO Instructors from all around the world to prepare for this very day, when he would no longer be here on the physical plane.  As HADO Instructors we are committed to carry on his work. To teach new generations the truth and sacredness of water, the true power of our words, and to grow our collective consciousness so that it may ripple out to inspire and create a better world.

We are forever grateful for our time together with Dr. Emoto. To study under him, to work alongside, travel globally, and to spend fun time together over the last ten years was an incredible honor and a very special privilege. Our lives have forever been changed personally and collectively by his pioneering research with hado and water that has caused a wave of transformation, awakening and shift in collective consciousness around the planet.

He has given us a greater sense of ourselves and our world, and our ability to create positive change by shifting our thoughts, words, emotions and intentions. By using kinder, gentler and more beautiful words towards ourselves and each other, and by paying our respect to water, we can create a more harmonious and peaceful planet.
